gtk-widget-request-mode (widget)

widget -- a gtk-widget object

The gtk-size-request-mode value preferred by widget.

Gets whether the widget prefers a height-for-width layout or a width-for-height layout. The gtk-bin widget generally propagate the preference of its child, container widgets need to request something either in context of their children or in context of their allocation capabilities.
