gtk-text-view-editable (object)

object -- a gtk-text-view widget
setting -- a boolean whether the text view is editable

Accessor of the editable slot of the gtk-text-view class.

The gtk-text-view-editable slot access function returns the default editability of the text view. The (setf gtk-text-view-editable) slot access function sets the default editability.

You can override this default setting with tags in the text buffer, using the editable attribute of tags.
