gtk:menu-button-use-popover (object)

object -- a gtk:menu-button widget
use-popover -- true to construct a popover from the menu model

The accessor for the use-popover slot gets or sets whether a popover or a menu will be constructed from the menu model when the gtk:menu-button-menu-model function is called. Note that this property is only consulted when a new menu model is set.
